Ginny B. Otto, Photographer
Master Photographer & Craftsman Ginny B. Otto began her career as a wildlife painter, later becoming a wildlife photographer, sports photographer, photojournalist, teacher, lecturer, and writer. She did work for numerous national publications including Wall Street Journal Magazine, The Ford Trade Magazine, Coon Hound Bloodlines Magazine, Wisconsin Trails Magazine, and numerous newspapers, periodicals, and trade magazines and catalogues, as well as Travel magazines and Visitor and Convention Bureaus. Her work was featured in the May 2015 issue of Professional Photography Magazine.
Degrees and Awards include the prestigeous PPA Master of Photography Degree presented in January 2014, Master Craftsman Degree in January 2016, and the PPA 2011, 2014, & 2015 Silver Photographer of the Year Awards. 2015 (#4) Top Ten North Central District Photographers from WI. The Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association 2014 Best in the Artist Category Award, 2 - 2014 Judges Awards, & 2015 (# 7) Top 10 Photographers in Wisconsin, as well as the 2015 Runner Up Artist of the Year Award. The Indianhead Professional Photographers Association 2011, 2013, 2014 Print of the Year Awards, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 Photographer of the Year Awards, Indianhead Fellowship Degree and was the 2007 IPPA President. She is currently the Fellowship Chair and Newsletter Editor for IPPA.
She has taught a number of Super One Day classes for the PPA in 2, a national educational program for professional photographers sharing her knowledge in PhotoShop and creation of competition images.
Her experience in the arts has lent a hand in creating a photographic style, unique in her business. She works both in her studio and on location. Her images reflect the true feelings and inner soles of her clients, and is able to capture in images those things which are not always expressed.
Ginny is involved in the photographic community including her memberships with the PPA, WPPA, IPPA, FPCC and other organizations. She has held many board positions, as well as being president numerous times. She currently mentors a number of new budding photographers, sharing her experience and expertise with them
Ginny's present work includes Wall Art, Gallery Canvas wraps, Greeting Cards for special needs, Note Cards, and other gift items. She has recently moved from Stevens Point, WI to the warmth of Spring Hill, Florida, allowing her to photograph nature, flora and scenics in the area, and expanding her portfolio.
